Farlington School: Horsham's only co-educational independent school for ages 4 to 18

At Farlington, just outside Horsham in West Sussex, every student is known, and their voice is heard and respected.

A Family School

Farlington is a family school in the strongest sense. Older students play a positive role in supporting younger ones, and as a true ‘through school’ – educating children from Reception to Sixth Form on the same site – we provide a caring and cohesive community in which students of all ages thrive.

Following the opening of our year-round nursery, Little Farlington, in September 2023, we are now delighted to be able to cater for babies and children from the age of 6 months right up to 18 years at Farlington.

Strong Values

Our core values – IndividualityOpportunity, and Community – form the guiding principles of everything we do at Farlington. Individuality is about finding, recognising, and celebrating each student’s voice. Our constant aim is to enable opportunities for our pupils to learn across our full and extensive curriculum, and each member of the school is recognised as a valued and valuable member of our community.

Working Together

At Farlington, we encourage our students to be ambitious for themselves in all that they do, to take risks, to challenge themselves, and – importantly – to challenge and support one another. Farlington friendships are forged for life, and our emphasis is on promoting respect for others, celebrating teamwork, and developing collective responsibility.

Promoting Happiness

Pastoral care and wellbeing are at the heart of a Farlington education, as is the importance of having fun. We passionately believe that happiness enables success.

Space to Flourish

We know that education does not stop when a child leaves the classroom. At Farlington School, students have space to explore and flourish in 33 acres of beautiful parkland, which includes an on-site Forest School area that is accessed all year round by students of all ages.
