Forest School fun for the Lower School

14 October 2021
Every week, all students in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 enjoy an afternoon of Forest School at our on-site Forest School area.
Activities so far this term have included den building, playing in the mud kitchen, making conker characters and bug hunting with magnifying glasses – Year 1 students identified woodlice, snails, beetles, centipedes, and many, many worms.
Year 2 have started using tools to whittle sticks this term, beginning with potato peelers, which they have been using to remove the bark from sticks.
One Year 1 student was particularly excited to find a toad during a recent Forest School session!
